John S. Furlong

Admitted to the New Jersey and federal bars in 1976, Jack Furlong was among the earliest lawyers certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Criminal Trial Attorney. He has literally tried hundreds of cases to verdict, primarily in the area of criminal defense. He has also litigated substantial civil cases including insurance and financial fraud, libel and slander, and civil rights issues including those under Section 42 U.S.C. Section 1983. In addition to his federal practice in New Jersey, he has represented clients in the United States District Courts in New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, and California. He is a nationally recognized expert defending the rights of sex offenders and in the areas of Megan’s Law and the Adam Walsh Act.
